How to use this template

When you need it

Use this report at a defined design review gate, when a coordinated package is available and the project needs a documented conclusion about its technical gaps, interfaces and readiness for the next stage.

What it helps you decide

It turns scattered discipline comments into a reasoned recommendation. Decision makers can distinguish matters requiring redesign from accepted explanations, unresolved evidence and limitations outside the reviewers' agreed remit.

How to complete it

  1. Identify the design basis, calculation package and drawing revisions under Documents and revisions reviewed; describe the scope and exclusions before examining individual findings.
  2. Record each Comment ID with its sheet or location, discipline, source and designer response; establish severity through the project's confirmed review criteria.
  3. Explain constructability and interface implications, retain unresolved gaps, and submit the draft conclusion through the named review route with evidence supporting each proposed disposition.

Who prepares and reviews it

The design coordinator normally assembles contributions from qualified discipline reviewers, construction and operations representatives. The designated technical authority reviews conclusions; the project's actual delegations determine who may approve a disposition or release.

A mistake to avoid

Do not treat a designer's reply as closure; verify the revised design evidence and obtain the disposition from the person authorized to review it.

Illustrative example

Illustrative example: a pumping station review finds a pipe support conflicting with a maintenance access opening. The report records the drawing revisions, designer response and affected disciplines. The team recommends a coordinated detail revision, while the authorized reviewer decides whether the package can advance with this item outstanding.
